Hey everyone! I am wondering if anyone can suggest a good pet insurance. I have never carried insurance for my dogs, but is seriously considering it right now. Do most of them cover cost of hip dysplasia treatment (Surgery, PT or whatever is recommended?) My Hazel is showing signs of it and I want to get the insurance before we go get x-rays...just in case I am correct. We have had her on Hip and Joint treatment since she was a little pup. But I think her back right leg looks crooked (my husband thinks I am over-reacting). She also drags her hind legs when she trys to climb up on the bed or couch

. What does everyone think?

I dont have Yogi enrolled in any yet, but I've heard really good things about the Purina health insurance.
Thanks. I'll look into Purina. I got a quote from Embrace....it's quite resonable. You get discounts for more then one dog enrolled, microchipped, and if you pay a whole year at a time.

Hi, I'm new to this site. My name is Shelley and my puppies name is Asia. She too is having propblems with her hips, and her leg is doing the same thing. I took her in and had them take and exray. The exrays came back negative. But I too would like to know how to get insurance for her. If anyone can help us please let us know. Thank you.
Hello! I work in vet medicine and have been researching insurance for my new mastiff puppy. I like embrace, petplan, and Trupanion. You need a plan which does allows for coverage for hereditary conditions. Hereditary conditions for mastiffs would include hip hysplasia and elbow eysplasia, and bloat. Ideally dogs must be enrolled before age one for best coverage on hip dysplasia. Most plans do not cover pre-existing conditions. Hope this helps!

I have 'Healthy Paws' insurance. Have you had any experience with that one?
