I have a 1 1/2 year old boxer/bull mix and I have a 6 month Mastiff. I am feeding Eagle Holistic select giant breed puppy food to my mastiff. Is it ok for my boxer/bull to eat this food also? He is definately not a giant breed and I was wondering if the lower protein food would be a problem for him.

Often times, there are added nutrients and such to puppy foods that an older dog doesn't need. I'd ask my vet and make a call into that specific food company. The food I feed says that it is fine for the maintenance of adult dogs. Good luck.
Be careful. Often times (many brands) giant breed puppy food has reduced calcium and (less often) reduced protein levels. Make certain that your 1 1/2 year old is getting all he needs of these two essentials.
