That's out at Point Isabel. We're lucky enough to have the largest dog park in the US just minutes from our house.

Wow. Very cool. Dog parks around here certainly don't look like that!

Where are you? We're in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today was the Great Dane meet up at the park, and I bumped into a mastiff owner who just started one for mastiffs (can't wait!). I feel really lucky to live in such a dog friendly area.
How fun! I'm in the Phoenix area. There are a ton of great danes and mastiffs here too, but as far as I know no playdates like that. It would be fun to start one here if I can find a good place to do it.
I'm not a big fan of the local dog parks - seems like every time I would go there was either an aggressive dog attacking another dog, or mine would pick up some sort of bacteria and end up on antibiotics. So now we just play with friends' dogs in our yards/houses.
I hear a lot of people online saying they aren't fans of dog parks or that they have problems when they go. Around here I'd say it's 99.9% positive. Yes, there is the occasional scuffle, but rarely more than that, and when it happens everyone pitches in to stop it and self-polices. I don't know what I'd do without all our wonderful parks.
8 months: 88lbs/26"
She's a delicate flower.
9 months: 103 lbs/27".
Her head is starting to widen and look more like a mastiff (less like a dane).
10 months: 111lbs/27.5"
She actually gained more weight than her brother! That's a first.
