how soon for Mastiff's. Marley is learning well with my own training, knows come, sit, paw and down. She is also being well socialized with dogs every day and so far so good at 13 weeks. I'm just a little worried about rough play as we've already experienced 2 limp paw moments which really scared me. Thinking she just might be too young for school?
We started Kahless in puppy class at 4 1/2 months after he had had all his shots. We knew from experience that it's better to start young before he got so big and strong. I must say that his training was a success, but needs continuing reinforcements with positive training techniques.
Kahless's mom is such a great inspriration and so helpful....thank you Robin : )

Thanks Jill, but I'm actually his dad... lol... Nikki is his mom!

Hey thanks for sharing it here.
It’s really a tough work to
train a dog without help of experts. It's a great work you have done indeed.
According to your post it seems like you have trained your dog basically. Now for further improvements you better take her to school.
The wonderful thing about puppy/dog training classes is that it begins and reinforces the all important socialization process which I believe is as important as the training itself.
