Hello, I am new to this site. I just bought a 9wk old male mastiff puppy. He is now 9wks and 3 days old. Well, I guess my question is: How does my mastiff puppy look? I contacted another breeder before I bought him and sent her a pic of him and she said he looked like he was poorly bred, bad pigment, and would look like a great dane and not a mastiff cause he has no wrinkles. Was she saying this to get me to buy a puppy from her or do you think the same thing? He weighs 22-25lbs (hard to get him to hold still) and is 15inches tall at the shoulder. His daddy was 220+ and mommy was 150+... I hope my boy gets big and looks like a mastiff not a dane. He is AKC reg and has Groppetti and Lazy D Champion bloodlines. Do wrinkle develop as they grow? Is he small, average, or large for his age? Thanks in advance. I will add more pics of him as he grows. Could someone please add pics of their babies at 8wks and 9wks and then again when they are like 12months? Zues is 8wks old in the picture.

He looks like a cutie to me. It's important to remember that every puppy grows differently and some pedigree lines are slower growing than others. I have a 16 month old male from a hobby breeder that was approx 24 lbs at 9 weeks (now 160) and an 8 month old female that was 28lbs at 9 weeks (now 140). As long as he is happy and healthy I wouldn't worry at this point, but there's no real way to know until he matures. Alot of time young puppies aren't all that wrinkly.
