here is a pic of my little guy Tonka @ 8 weeks weighing in at 16 lbs.

he will be 13 weeks tomorrow and i weighed him yesterday and he is only 27.6 lbs. i had him outside a couple weeks ago and he ended chewing a pice of a twig and got sick. he had diarhea and vomiting the next day. he lost at least 7 lbs those couple days while i treated him.

i will post a pic tomorrow of him at 13 weeks.
This is great, my female "Willow" looks identical to Tonka. I will post pics someday. We had a very difficult time trying to get our so called breeder to give up her exact birth date so we really do not know how old she is. We are guessing 8 weeks because she has always gained 3 lbs per week until last week, she is weighing almost 18 lbs today. I hope you are enjoying Tonka as much as we are Willow. I want another one already! Sorry to hear about him eating twig and getting sick. Our Willow loves to eat mulch/bark and it has resulted in her throwing up as well. Very difficult to get her not to eat it but we are still trying the "leave it" technique but she is so young. Can't wait to see updated pics.
My pup Vito is almost 23 weeks & still cannot give up his habit of chewing on bark. I also have other friends with mastiffs who range in age from 1-6 y/o, it must be some sort of breed addiction...however frustrating it is for the owner. Vito knows the leave it command but can't always adhere to it when it comes to eating bark.
Peabody loves chewing sticks, too. How strange. I had no idea it was a mastiff thing.

Yup, Kahless will chew grass, sticks and pick up rocks if we don't watch him. Once he ate a few rocks and got diarrhea so now we watch him carefully at all times. This behavior can be very dangerous even fatal if not prevented as eating rocks, sticks, etc, can cause intestinal blockages that require surgery or result in death.

Fortunately Peabody doesn't eat stuff, he just likes to chew it up and leave tiny pieces of whatever it is all over the place for me to clean up Smile I've been lucky.

Yes that is fortunate. Hopefully Kahless will outgrow this dangerous behavior. BTW Peabody is a handsome boy! And I LOVE the pics with him and the chick - adorable!
