Thanks so much for your post on Marley's page. Brooklyn is currently 30" at almost 8 months and my husband and I keep saying, "Wouldn't it be great if he stayed this size. I'm hoping, because of his similarities in height and weight to Peabody, he will grow up similar to him. LOVE THIS SITE!
I have noticed that Rellik Appears to be close to Peabody's growth, And I am really hoping that he stays comparing to him in size, But I have found out this weekend that Rellik has a love for Chicken and Rice soup......Is this okay for him to have? My daughter was eating one night and he was facianted with her the whole time ( i don't like giving him people food, except for frozen carrots to control his chewing) He hasen't done this any other time when any of us were eating anything. So I let him have a little taste just to curb is courisity, and he loves it. So I am wondering is it going to be okay to let him have it? I know rice and chicken, is good for when they have the poops but is it okay to give it to them anyway?
Check out the difference between Peabody at 7 months vs 10 months. You can see how much broader/thicker his entire chest, shoulders, torso and head are. It's amazing how quickly they grow!

That collar in the 10 month pic was a 30" on the tightest hole. His neck is about 32" now.

On giving "people food," I'm of the opinion that anything fresh is better than anything processed, so I give healthy fresh foods every day. Mostly veggies, grains, fruits, eggs and yogurt as we don't usually have meat in the house. If we do, I'll give cooked chicken or beef. As far as the chicken soup, I guess it just depends on what's in it. Garlic and onion are toxic to dogs, so check the ingredients. It won't usually effect them right away in small doses, but from what I understand their liver can't process it out so it builds up in their system over time. If it's just chicken, rice, broth, carrots, celery, etc, I would be OK with it as long as his digestive system handles it OK.
He looks great, I love the teddy! I like the idea of him having healthy people food, I just don't like the idea of a 200lb dog begging for food at the supper table, So I don't like people giving him any hand outs at the table. I guess I figured that by not giving it to him at all, then he wouldn't associate the supper table as a place to bum for food. And then there are the guests that will see him and think he can eat anything and the next thing I know, I am scared he will be fed the wrong human food and it could really hurt him.

I guess it stems from when I had my rottie before she passed on I had to get after a few guests for giving her something (ie a full piece of pizza) and it made her really sick. Well maybe in the long run I need to train the guests not Rellik! lol Sorry for rambeling. But I do think your right maybe the healthy food under the right guide lines he should be having it.
