Hello, and welcome! What dogs do you have?
Hello everyone. My name is Michael. I live just outside of Chicago near O'Hare airport. We recently (by shear luck) got an English Mastiff puppy named Duke who is now 4 months old and nearly 60lbs. We have some pics posted of Duke under the growth chart topic. When I say by shear luck it was because we were still mourning the loss of our BullMastiff named Prophet who lived to 9y/o and was such a wonderfull dog and friend. I was driving through Indiana and saw a sign about english mastiffs pups and couldn't help but stop and look. That's when duke caught my eye and couldn't help myself.

Here is a pic of our beloved Prophet.

Awe, what a sweet wise face. Sorry for your loss.
Hello everyone. My name is Chantelle and Journey is my English Mastiff. I thank Peabody very much for introducing us to this site. I have never owned a Mastiff and I really want to do right by her, so any advice or words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Journey is off to a good start, she eats Blue Buffalo (large breed puppy food) and is 4 weeks into puppy kindergarten. She is 15 weeks old and weighs 30lbs today...still pretty little compared to other mastiffs her age. I would like to track her weight here, also.
She has a yellow lab, Maxi, for a sister who is 1 month older and Shatzi the Shih-tzu who is 12 years old.
Journey is the highlight of my day. I look forward to her and being with her everyday. My goal is for her to be a canine good citizen so she can go to nursing homes and hospitals to visit those who may want to be visited. I think she would be wonderful. She is wonderful.
I think it's great that you want to do therapy with her. I can just picture a mastiff thumping around a hospital. I bet kids especially would love it!
I worked in a Children's hospital the kids loved the therapy dogs!! It's amazing how dogs just sense when they need to be gentle and compassionate. Journey is adorable!
I think it would be great too. I just need to find all the proper channels and work with Journey to be the best she can be. It is sooo much fun having her. She makes my heart happy and I know she could cheer others up, as well.
[attachment=118]Hi everyone,

My name is Tracie and I'm a new member to this site. I have a 19 wk old English Mastiff puppy and he weighs 52.5 lbs. His name is Thor and he is such a character. He just went to the vet yesterday and we found out he had a mite problem on his paw and jaw line. Just two little spots but I'm worried sick about it. Has anyone out there had any trouble with this kind of thing?
Hello, I am new to this site, and am wanting to chat with people with great danes, to learn more about this breed..
Hey
W E L C O M E to this forum I hope that you find lots of fun from here.
